The WR-218S is a passive subwoofer with an IP56 rating, designed for permanent professional outdoor installations. It incorporates two 18″ loudspeakers, model 18LX, for low-frequency reproduction, delivering high sound pressure levels and extended low-frequency response for sound reinforcement applications in outdoor environments. This subwoofer is designed to reinforce low-frequency reproduction in WR-320-DX line array systems. Its ultra-compact enclosure, made of birch plywood, minimizes unwanted vibrations and helps reduce distortion while maintaining stable acoustic performance under demanding conditions. This model is available in black or white finishes to facilitate integration into different environments.
The WR Series is designed to offer high resistance and durability in permanent outdoor installations. All metal components of the system are made of stainless steel to ensure high corrosion resistance. The connectors feature protection against liquids and dust through hermetic sealing and include a drainage system that prevents water accumulation. The grilles incorporate a three-layer textile barrier composed of acoustic fabric, filtering foam and a hydrophobic mesh that blocks dust, dirt and moisture without affecting sonic performance. All systems in the WR series share these protection specifications.
The WR-218S-DX is manufactured exclusively in the DX (Direct Exposure) version, designed for installations fully exposed to the elements and equipped with a reinforced fiberglass exterior.
