A boutique hotel in the heart of Getsemaní
OSH Hotel, located in the Getsemaní district of Cartagena de Indias, is a boutique accommodation that blends modern style with local tradition.

The hotel features interior courtyards, two outdoor swimming pools and a rooftop bar with views of the walled city, as well as a restaurant, a lobby and common areas designed for rest and socializing. All these spaces maintain a modern style that reflects the vibrant character of Getsemaní.

The sound project was designed and carried out by Provenco, a Colombian integrator with extensive experience in audiovisual solutions for hotels, restaurants and leisure spaces. The project also involved the collaboration of Fernando Nanão, Senior Engineer at DAS Audio LATAM, who validated the technical design to ensure maximum precision in meeting the hotel’s requirements.

Resilience to climate and consistency across different spaces
Cartagena de Indias has a tropical humid climate, with average temperatures between 27 and 30 °C for most of the year and humidity levels often exceeding 80%. These conditions pose a challenge for any outdoor installation, as the equipment must withstand heat, humidity, solar radiation and occasional heavy rainfall while maintaining consistent sound performance.

Each area of the hotel —pools, rooftop, lobby, restaurant and event halls— required a different solution, from systems designed to create atmosphere in social areas to others intended to discreetly support dining spaces or guest relaxation. The challenge was to find a global solution that would provide quality, consistency and reliability, while integrating seamlessly with the boutique hotel’s aesthetic and design.

Sound systems tailored to each space
Provenco designed an installation that integrated different DAS Audio series, adapted to the needs of each space. In the ground-floor pool area, ten WR-8826 and four WR-151S were installed, while the rooftop pool was equipped with eight WR-6412 and four WR-322S. The WR series, specifically designed for outdoor use, ensured coverage and clarity in spaces exposed to heat and humidity, while maintaining reliability and durability.

For the rooftop bar, the QUANTUM series was chosen, with ten Q-23-T and four Q-10. These systems stand out for their discretion, allowing them to blend into the architectural environment without compromising aesthetics, while providing clarity and musicality in a space where atmosphere is essential.

The hotel’s indoor areas such as the lobby, restaurant and bar were equipped with twelve ARTEC-326 and four VANTEC-118A, creating a setup that combines warmth, power and coverage, suitable for both background music and more dynamic moments.

Finally, in the two event halls, two ARTEC-326 and four Q-23-T were installed, offering systems able to adapt to different needs, from corporate meetings to private celebrations.

The installation at OSH Hotel Cartagena integrates sound solutions designed to meet the diverse needs of the hotel’s spaces. The resilience of the WR series to Cartagena’s climate, the discretion of QUANTUM and the versatility of ARTEC and VANTEC ensure that each space has the right sound atmosphere, always in harmony with its architectural design.
