Tumbao Beach Club

The best beach club in Castellón is back: the spectacular Tumbao Beach Club in El Grao has reopened its doors after a head-to-toe makeover that included the installation of a complete DAS professional sound system. Good food meets outstanding entertainment at this magnificent venue, which offers an extensive range of surfer-style entertainment, including a restaurant, lunch area, lounge, outdoor pool and some of the best live music around. Such a versatile space requires an equally versatile sound system to match, and DAS Audio’s extensive product catalog provided the perfect solution.

The sound solution for the renovated Tumbao Beach Club was supplied by local company Musical Portolés, with Alexis Portolés at the helm. Faced with the challenge of providing versatile yet robust audio across the entire venue, from its restaurant to its drinks terrace, the sound team recommended the installation of systems from DAS Audio’s Arco and Vantec series to guarantee superb sound.

A total of 30 DAS Arco-24 systems in white were installed throughout the beach club to provide marked yet subtle background music for kicking back and sipping on a cocktail, enjoying a mouth-watering meal or simply hanging out poolside mere steps from the beach.

The Arco systems are a visually discrete option that integrate seamlessly into the carefully selected décor, fitting in perfectly with the venue’s beachy style. The Arco-24 models installed at the Tumbao Beach Club are two-way systems constructed in highly resistant ABS plastic for minimal visual impact and reduced weight.

The club also has a small poolside stage where live performances turn Tumbao into the hottest club around. Here the sound team opted to bring in a sound system based on DAS Audio’s Vantec Series, high-tech systems designed for entertainers, musicians and DJs, installing four Vantec-15 systems paired with four Vantec-18 subwoofers. The set-up includes DAS PA Series amplifiers to handle the signal for all eight cabinets along with a DAS DSP-26 digital signal processor to control and manage the entire system.

The customized install was rounded out with more DAS gear, in this case two powered DAS Vantec-15A systems that serve as monitors for the DJ sessions held on the club’s outdoor stage. With a first-class professional sound system that perfectly matches the updated facilities in place, Tumbao Beach Club has become one of the most coveted spots on the Costa del Azahar for outstanding music, excellent food and cocktails in the purest surfer style.
