On May 3 and 4, the Aurora Music Festival gathered over 150,000 people at Clark Global City, Pampanga. With a lineup headlined by artists like BINI and Rico Blanco, the event cemented its status as one of the most important in the Philippines.
Designing the sound system for a festival of this magnitude required a robust and precise solution. MixSonic, a leading professional audio integration company in the Philippines, took on the challenge with a proposal 100% based on DAS Audio technology. In total, more than 200 sound systems were deployed, thanks to the collaboration with six local rental companies that use DAS equipment.
The main coverage was handled with 24 LARA-100 units as main L&R and 16 LARA-SUBs for out-fill. This combination delivered powerful and controlled sound pressure.
As reinforcement, 20 SARA-100s and 8 SARA-SUBs were added, providing a powerful and well-defined sub-bass foundation, especially appreciated during the main performances.
To ensure a uniform experience throughout the venue, MixSonic implemented a full reinforcement solution:
Milo Dr. Cavarlez, CEO of MixSonic, highlighted the system’s quality:
“The integration of DAS Audio’s flagship systems allowed us to deliver a top-level sound experience, with clear and powerful coverage throughout the venue. The LARA system was precise and powerful, while the LARA-SUB and SARA-SUB subwoofers made a big difference.”
He also praised the consistency of the EVENT system:
“The deployment of the delay towers achieved excellent response even in the farthest areas from the stage.”
Germán Rodríguez, Technical Support Manager for DAS Audio in APAC, added:
“This was our first time working at the Aurora Music Festival and the result was spectacular. MixSonic did an impeccable job from design to execution.”
From DAS Audio, we thank our distributor in the Philippines, PRO Dynamix, for their trust, and the joint effort that made this high-level project with our event sound systems possible.
