Introduction

Located in the heart of La Cala de Mijas, just 25 km from Malaga, Florida Beach stands out for offering a complete leisure experience on the Costa del Sol. This Beach Club, with its spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea, attracts visitors from all over the world. With the group’s accumulated experience in other successful venues such as Florida Park in Madrid and Palau Alameda in Valencia, Florida Beach is positioned as the new luxury destination in the area.

The configuration of Florida Beach has been carefully planned to offer unique experiences in its 3000m² of premises, which include beach, pool, cocktail bar, restaurant, and disco-club areas. Each area, known as Palmera (restaurant), Origin (lounge area) and Boîte Lighthouse (nightclub), is designed with a distinctive identity, offering visitors different environments inspired by the Mediterranean and full of charm.

Challenge

The main challenge at Florida Beach was to design a sound system that would integrate aesthetically and provide exceptional acoustic quality in three distinct areas – Palmera (restaurant), Origin (lounge area) and Boîte Lighthouse (nightclub). Each space required a specific solution that respected the architecture and interior design, without compromising the listening experience.

At Palmera, the main objective was to create a pleasant atmosphere with ambient music that would enhance the dining experience. However, since live music performances take place during meals, it was crucial that the sound system be adaptable. The system had to provide a clear and balanced audio distribution throughout the restaurant, allowing for comfortable conversation.

In the Origin area, the dynamics change after lunch hours, transforming into a late-night space where the energy and sound pressure increases to create a party atmosphere. The sound system had to be able to adapt to this transition, providing a listening experience that would stimulate social interaction and enjoyment of the music. Greater power and sonic presence were required to maintain the pace and excitement of the environment, without sacrificing the clarity of the sound.

The challenge at Boîte Lighthouse was to provide a worldclass listening experience that would meet the expectations of Marbella’s discerning nightlife audience and top international DJs. Sound pressure, acoustic coverage and sound quality were key elements to ensure an immersive and memorable experience in every corner of the club.

Solution

Palmera (Restaurant) and Origin (Afternoon zone): To meet the needs of the restaurant and the late-night area, a combination of Quantum and Artec series systems were chosen to be installed. To create a pleasant atmosphere with ambient music during meals, the Quantum series systems were used. These systems offer high-quality sound reproduction and uniform coverage and blend perfectly into the environment thanks to their aesthetic and compact design. On the other hand, for live performances and latenight events, systems from the Artec series were used. With their ability to reproduce the entire frequency range with high quality and achieve adequate sound pressure levels, Artec loudspeakers guarantee a listening experience tailored to the needs of live music and late-night events.

Boîte Lighthouse (Nightclub): To ensure a uniform and high-quality listening experience throughout the nightclub, a detailed coverage study was carried out. This analysis identified the specific characteristics required to meet power, sound quality and acoustic coverage standards. After evaluating various options, the DAS Audio E11even series was determined to be the ideal solution. With their ability to deliver impressive power, exceptional sound quality and a variety of coverage options, the E11even systems were perfectly suited to the needs of the Boîte Lighthouse. The result is a seamless experience, where sound takes center stage.

The sound system installation at Florida Beach has been a great success, exceeding expectations and elevating the entertainment experience in each of its spaces. Thanks to the previous work of design and planning, we have achieved that each area of the club -Palmera, Origin and Boîte Lighthouseoffers an ideal sound experience in each environment.

In Palmera, visitors enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where the music becomes an ideal complement to the gastronomy without invading the conversation space. At Origin, the sound transformation that accompanies the transition from restaurant to lounge area creates a vibrant and energetic atmosphere that invites socializing and enjoyment. Finally, at Boîte Lighthouse, the high-quality audio experience ensures that every evening is unforgettable, satisfying even the most demanding audiences and internationally renowned DJs.
