Established in 2019, Dolly Bell Restaurant was envisioned as a landmark for both gastronomy and entertainment in the Serbian capital. By day, it caters to discerning palates with a sophisticated menu, while by night, the downtown restaurant transforms into a vibrant hotspot where guests can enjoy a variety of dishes prepared with high-quality ingredients, paired with a fine selection of national and international beverages. To complement the dining experience, nightly performances by local bands and artists add to the lively atmosphere. Located within Serbia´s largest congress center, Dolly Bell benefits from a constant influx of visitors, ensuring a dynamic and bustling environment at all times.
The installation presented two significant challenges. First, the sound system needed to adapt seamlessly to two different environments, delivering clear and powerful sound in both settings. During lunch and dinner, it had to discreetly create an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere that matched the restaurant´s culinary quality standards. In the evening, however, it had to rise to the demands of live shows and nightly performances. Additionally, the project faced tight deadlines for both delivery and installation. To address these challenges, DAS Audio´s distributor, Light and Sound Design in Belgrade, devised a tailor-made solution.
The installation was executed by Masters 33, who selected the award-winning Event-26A system for the stage area. This ultra-compact and symmetrical two-way, self-powered line array system stands out for its excellent performance and exceptional ease of use. Its elegant polypropylene enclosure offers great portability, versatility and a wide range of accessories, making the EVENT-26A a perfect fit for these types of installations. Fourteen EVENT-26A cabinets were complemented by the compact, self-powered EVENT-115A and EVENT-118A subwoofers. The EVENT-115A is custom-designed to work with the EVENT-26A and shares a compatible rigging system that allows both systems to be flown or stacked together. The latest addition to the series, the EVENT-118A, was ideal for providing low-end reinforcement, delivering depth and precision.
Fourteen ACTION-515 and ACTION-508 units complete the venue´s sound system. Strategically positioned to ensure uniform coverage and consistent tone, these systems were seamlessly integrated to enhance the experience of all guests, whether near the stage or enjoying a quite business lunch within the largest congress center in Southeastern Europe.
