Paellas Festival.Live 2017 in Alicante with DAS

DAS Audio professional sound systems played a crucial role at the recent Paellas Festival.Live 2017 in Alicante. The sixth edition of this can’t-miss event drew in over 15,000 festival-goers to the massive Multiespacio Rabasa outdoor venue, just steps from the University of Alicante, a record-breaking attendance that reflects the hugely popular festival format among students, the target market these types of musical events.

Festival producer Babalú Producciones went all out for the event, deploying a massive amount of equipment that included DAS Audio professional sound systems on two of the festival’s main stages. Local company Acusticox was contracted to coordinate the sound supply and installation, and manager Salvador Berná worked hand in hand with DAS Audio’s Event Engineer Vicent Olucha on system set up and adjustment.

The setup designed by Berná and Olucha for the Hits Stage, which featured a line-up of top artists on the national and international music scene, consisted of eight DAS Aero-40A ALAS™. These powered line array systems were groundstacked in two lines of four units on opposite sides of the stage, while low-frequency support was provided by ten high-performance DAS LX-218CA powered subwoofers.

To handle DJ monitor duties, the setup was augmented by a range of exceptional systems drawn from DAS Audio’s Sound Force series of products. Specifically, the sound team deployed two SF-M units, each consisting of a SF-1521A powered subwoofer system and two SF-20A powered systems. The Sound Force systems are designed to deliver exceptional sound, imposing power and a striking look. Created for both performance and reliability, these high-end systems are built to meet the most demanding standards.

At the Electronic Stage, the festival’s venue for electronic dance music (EDM), the Acusticox team rolled out the robust DAS Aero-12A powered line array systems in two linear configurations of six Aero-12A systems each groundstacked on either side of the stage. These systems were paired with SX-218A high-performance powered subwoofers for the crucial low-frequency punch. DAS Event-208A active line arrays stacked on SX-218A subwoofers served as DJ monitors. DAS Road-12A and 15A performed stage monitoring duties on both stages.
