Malú Tour Caos

DAS Audio professional systems have been a regular fixture on Malú’s “Caos Tour” as it makes its way across Spain. The tour, which kicked off in April, included over 35 performances by the Madrid native, all of which are brought to life by the army of DAS systems that sound expert Fluge Audiovisuales designed specifically for this series of concerts.

Tour organizers called in Madrid-based sound company Fluge Audiovisuales to handle the sound for every concert on the months-long tour. With extensive experience in events of this magnitude and expertise in DAS Aero Series 2 systems, the team decided to deploy powered Aero-40A ALAS™ (Advanced Line Array System) to guarantee reliable, robust sound for the tour’s almost daily weekend concerts.

Fluge Audiovisuales designed a standard yet flexible PA system that has been used for every venue on the tour: DAS Audio’s powered Aero-40A line array systems (32 to 40 cabinets depending on the venue’s size) paired with high-performance powered subwoofers systems DAS LX-218CA (18 to 24 units).

The sound team also brought in the Aero-40A’s “younger brother”, the Aero-20A, to provide even sound coverage at venues like sports complexes and bullrings, with anywhere from 16 to 24 handling out fill. Fluge also kept Malú’s down-in-front fans in mind when designing the sound system, using additional Aero 20A systems to serve as front fill.

The ease with which the Aero-40A and Aero-20A systems can be both set up and adjusted are qualities highly valued by sound technicians who work on a tour like this, with many back-to-back performances. To name just one example, the system was used on June 11 at the Plaza de Toros in San Sebastián and was up and running again at Logroño’s Palacio de Deportes less than 24 hours later after being disassembled, transported, set up again and soundchecks performed.

The “Chaos Tour” is now in full swing after hitting Spain’s biggest cities, including Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, San Sebastian, Bilbao, Seville, Palma de Mallorca and Malaga, with the artist returning to Madrid (Barclaycard Center) and Barcelona (Palau Sant Jordi) to close out the epic series of concerts all over the country.
