DAS Audio starts a new subsidiary in Germany

Spanish manufacturer of professional sound systems based in Valencia, DAS Audio, opens a new subsidiary office in Germany, which will start operations on June 1, 2021.

DAS Audio GmbH, based in Troisdorf, near Bonn, will be in charge of sales, marketing and customer service of DAS Audio Germany under the direction of managing director and partner Arne Deterts, with the objective to take the Spanish brand to a completely new level.

DAS Audio is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, but has recently not been very present in the German market for various reasons. However, the manufacturer from sunny Valencia is extremely successful worldwide, with branches in the USA, South America and Asia and the establishment of the German branch is also a prelude to serving the European market more strongly in the future.

DAS Audio has an extensive program for professional rental, touring and installation areas, as well as products in the upper segment for MI retail. In addition to a comprehensive development department for acoustics, mechanics and electronics, the plant in Valencia also has its own development and production facilities for high quality transducers and, with a very few exceptions, produces everything in-house, including electronics, wooden housing production, painting and final assembly. The company attaches particular importance to the high quality and reliability of its products, including an attractive price-performance ratio and comprehensive customer service and support.

Arne Deterts has been the head of the German branch of a group of Italian speaker manufacturers for more than 20 years. For the last 8 years he held the position of managing director, contributing to the success of the Italian group as a leading supplier during that time. At the end of 2020, he had to resign from his position as part of a restructuring plan.

Arne Deterts comments on the founding of DAS Audio GmbH as follows: “If, after 20 years of successful activity, you were told, that you would no longer be needed in the future, it would be bitter and then you would need some time to digest it. After that, I looked ahead and started to think about where I could bring in my experience, contacts, skills and knowledge. Fortunately, I stumbled across DAS Audio relatively early on, not really knowing a lot about them. But the more I dealt with DAS Audio, the more enthusiastic I became and the more I realized how well all this fitted together.
