Arenal Sound 2017

Over 300,000 festival-goers and 100+ artists descended on this year’s Arenal Sound, an annual festival that played host to some of the biggest names in music including Martin Garrix, Bastille, Lori Meyers, Icona Pop, Fedde Le Grand and Kase O.

Full-service provider Fluge was once again called in to handle for the festival’s main stages and deployed a veritable army of DAS Audio professional sound systems. Maintaining the sound pressure level below the 100 db restriction across the entire 180-meter Desperados stage was a massive challenge that the Fluge technicians and DAS systems met with flying colors.

The sound team decided to roll out 24 Aero-40A and 18 UX-221A as the PA for the main stage. Twenty-four Aero-20A were tasked with frontfill and outfill duties, while 16 additional Aero-40A were employed for a delay tower 100 meters from the stage. A second delay 140 meters out from the stage was set up with 16 Aero-20A and six UX-221A.

The set up at the Thunder Bitch stage, located closest to the beach, was equipped with a PA complete with 12 SoundForce-30A, 24 Aero 50 and 12 UX-221A. Four Convert-15A and six Convert-12A handled downfill and frontfill.
