Valencia Show Jumping Club
Long-throw BiDriver systems were consequently employed for the main arena
The Valencia Show Jumping Club (CES Valencia) was recently inaugurated in the town of Godella in Valencia, Spain and D.A.S. sound systems were chosen to form part of this spectacular equestrian complex's ultra-modern facilities. Its extensive show jumping arenas, social club and indoor covered arena complete with grandstand have all been equipped with the best in sound reinforcement.
Technicians from the firm Telesonic Valencia, S.L. were charged with matching D.A.S. systems to the needs of each area of this sports complex. since they are specifically designed for applications requiring wide acoustic coverage and music reproduction with no compromises in voice intelligibility.
Each one of the four BiDriver Plus-T units is equipped with a factory installed line-transformer and is designed to comply with rigorous IP-54 standards for outdoor use. These two-way systems incorporate a co-axial mid-range speaker with integrated horn and a compression driver featuring a titanium diaphragm and four inch voice coil to ensure adequate high frequency response.
Systems from the new DR series were adopted for the grandstand in the covered arena. Audio for this somewhat smaller area is offered by seven D.A.S. model DR-8TW units. These two-way, wide-range compact systems are equipped with a line-transformer and their white polypropylene enclosures are especially designed for use outdoors and meet IP-54 standards. Adjacent to the covered arena are two training or warm-up enclosures where three DR-8T units .
Loudspeakers from the Ceiling Series were deployed in the social club. A total of 34 six inch model CL-6TB units, complete with line transformer and backcan were distributed in the main access areas and restaurant section.
All of these systems are powered by amplifiers from the D.A.S. CSA-T series, especially designed to power 70 and 100 volt distributed audio systems. The installation was completed using a model DSP-26 digital signal processor, two model HDJ-2270 professional CD-MP-3 players from the Disco Series, and an Ambient Series A-10.2 ten-input mixer. Sound distribution for each area is managed by a Musicall system from the Dutch firm DATEQ.
