The Hotel Transatlantique
The world famous Hotel Transatlantique in Meknes was built in 1927
D.A.S. Audio distributor for Morocco, Ines, led by Ahmed Tachaou recently installed a new sound system at the luxurious Hotel Transatlantique, located in the city of Meknes in Morocco. Six inch model CL-6T loudspeakers, from the D.A.S. Ceiling Series were flush-mounted by Ines in the corridors, hall and reception The CL-6T units provide background music as well as optimum acoustical dispersion, enhancing message intelligibility. These easy to install units, finished in white, blend perfectly with the hall's white ceilings and Moroccan style mouldings. The mixture of natural wood, fine lines, simple furniture, sombre lighting and white colors create the desired soft and neutral atmosphere
D.A.S systems were also chosen for the Hotel Transatlantique's own disco called Night. Ines installed a total of eight model RF-15 units from the Reference range, especially designed for medium sized P.A. systems. They were flown on a circular metal structure for the dance floor together with four model Sub-18H subwoofer units
by Compagnie Générale Transatlantique. Refurbished several times, its traditional and modern feel appeals to guests looking for some peace and a bit of pampering. It is built within a marvellous six hectare plot, and contains 120 rooms and suites, complete with modern decoration and amenities. Most of the rooms include a private balcony with amazing views over the old city known as the Medina. The hotel boasts two outdoor swimming pools, beautiful gardens as well as excellent cuisine. Traditional Moroccan food is served at the Ismailia Restaurant while the Bellevue Restaurant offers more cosmopolitan dishes.
