BCube Group debuts Aero 8A for "The Drums" Live@Scape Warehouse in Singapore
BCube Group has just recently acquired an adequate Aero-8A system consisting of 16 Aero-8A 8” powered line array elements with 6 units of LX-215A 2 x 15”powered band-pass subwoofers. Having awarded the contract to provide audio and lighting for “The Drums” third outing here in Singapore, Bcube Group decided to deploy their entire inventory of D.A.S. Audio products for sound reinforcement in Singapore’s Scape warehouse – a venue that champions youth culture located in Singapore’s shopping belt on Orchard Road.
The indoor venue has a length of 23 meters which is a perfect length for the Aero-8A’s throw. Co-owner of BCube, Mr. Jason Lim echoes, “It is really simple to get the Line Array flown once you have the dimensions of the venue input into the EASE Focus 2 line array prediction software.
Thereafter, it is just a matter of physically plugging in the supplied locking pins located on the pin holder on the side of the box, cabling the units and hoisting the system up via lifting towers, as you can see.” Co-owner Christopher Ang continues, “Sound wise, the mixing engineer was extremely satisfied. The system was left as it was without any system EQ adjustments. One more thing, it has clarity that sparkles.”
Monitors, drum-fills and front-fills were deployed as well, those being the Avant-12A and Avant-15A powered point-source units respectably. BCube Group’s Technical Supervisor, Saravanan Siva sums it up best “The mixing engineer came in at 5pm, played his tracks, band came in at 6pm and by 6.30pm, they were ready to rock the 7.30pm show.”
