D.A.S. Audio and Melomani held a training seminar in Turkey
D.A.S. Audio, in collaboration with MELOMANI VE SES Goruntu ISIK SISTEMLERI, the company’s new official distributor in Turkey, held a training seminar and presentation of the new D.A.S. Aero 40A in Turkey. The seminar took place last November 21 at the Utopia World Hotel in the resort town of Alanya on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast for more than 60 professionals from over the country.
The seminar served as both the presentation of Melomani as an official distributor of D.A.S. products in Turkey and an event to showcase D.A.S. Audio’s Engineering Department’s expertise and potential when undertaking major sound projects and installations. The seminar also featured the presentation of the new Advanced Aero 40A Line Array System (ALAS™) in Turkey.
The seminar kicked off with an introduction by Melomani’s Hasan Dundar and D.A.S. Audio’s Ignacio Chulía. Eva Argandoña from D.A.S. Audio’s Engineering Department followed with lecture on the different aspects of acoustic and auralization simulations performed during sound installation projects using the EASE Focus sound simulation and prediction program.
D.A.S. Audio Systems Engineer Joel Damiano gave an introduction of the DASnet™ control and monitoring application for D.A.S. Audio systems and processors. After explaining some of the DASnet™ features, took place a product presentation of the new D.A.S. Aero 40A systems as well as a theoretical and practical demonstration on system measurements and adjustments. The group then took part in the hands-on side of any seminar and had a chance to perform “real world” tests of the technical aspects discussed by Damiano.
The seminar was attended by special guest Yilmaz Yeniyol, a renowned sound engineer who works with a number of top Turkish artists. A successful event, this first Seminar in Turkey achieved its goal of spreading the technical knowledge of the D.A.S. professional sound systems make available to sound technicians, in this case Turkish technicians.
