Seminar in Scotland
The event was held at the Hopetoun House on the outskirts of Edinburgh
D.A.S. Audio recently held an educational and training seminar for audio and sound professionals in Scotland, led by its U.K. distributor, Sennheiser UK. The event took place at the luxurious Hopetoun House, a 300-year old mansion near Edinburgh, attracting a group of about 30 area professionals.
Following the welcome reception, Sennheiser UK's Alan March opened the day's activities with a kick- off speech. He was followed by Joan La Roda, from D.A.S.'s Engineering Department, who flew over from the company's headquarters in Valencia, Spain, specifically for the event. He spoke at length about both the technical considerations involved in middle and high- frequency system alignment and subwoofer unit configuration.
To conclude the session, Ronald Hemming, the well-known independent consultant, gave a presentation on considerations to take into account when approaching any type of background music project. Feedback was positive and attendees found all the lectures extremely interesting, sparking lively conversation at the closing lunch given in one of Hopetoun House´s extraordinary residences.
