D.A.S Audio seminar in Chile with DID Sonido and Aero 40A
|D.A.S. Audio, in collaboration with DID Sonido, recently held a seminar and presentation of the Aero 40A ALAS™ Advanced Line Array System in Chile. The event was held at the Centro Cultural Matucana 100 in the capital city of Santiago, where Fernando Díaz, renowned sound engineer for Alejandro Sanz, was on hand to give a master class to the numerous seminar participants.
The seminar took two different approaches, the first a more theoretical look at the D.A.S. systems and the second more a hands-on opportunity for participants to practice how to rig and adjust a D.A.S. Aero 40A system. A training course on the DASnet™ remote monitoring and management system, taught by Vicent Olucha, D.A.S. Audio Systems Engineer who offers technical support for South America and the Caribbean, was held in the morning.
Participants also had the chance to enjoy a live demo of the Aero 40A in the afternoon. Fernando Díaz, working with technicians from DID Sonido, gave a comprehensive clinic on live mixing with tracks from Alejandro Sanz to demonstrate the full power of the D.A.S. Aero 40A systems. Participants were also able to share their thoughts on this cutting-edge system, which provides flawless sound at the concerts of the best international artists worldwide.
Dimitri Diaz, founder and CEO of DID Sonido, commented on the event. “The main thing was to hold an event in Santiago to launch the Aero 40A. This demonstrated that we are a quality company that puts on international events with top-of-the-line equipment. We are delighted with the cooperation from D.A.S. Audio and Audiomúsica, its distributor in Chile”.
Fernando Diaz, an expert in using the Aero 40As as the sound engineer for a number of international stars including Alejandro Sanz and Miguel Bosé, said: “DID Sonido has proved that it wants to do things right, with young professionals who have a lot to offer. The experience gained from this seminar is really interesting, because we met very experienced engineers and others with less of a professional background, who we were able to show some interesting techniques for handling these latest generation systems. "
D.A.S. Audio’s Vicent Olucha said: “The importance of collaborating with this partner company, which has made a huge effort with the acquisition of the Aero 40A, and for whom we decided to hold this training session for its technicians in order to bring them up to date on this new system, was to resolve their doubts and achieve quality sound with the Aero 40A on stage with the world’s best artists”.
