Miss Vietnam with D.A.S.
5,000 spectators attending the pageant held at the resort and millions watching live on television
The Miss Vietnam 2006 contest was organized on the resort island Hon Tre, and took place on a brand new water-music stage at the VinPearl resort Hon Ngoc Viet (Cultural Park), just off the coast of Nha Trang resort city in Khanh Hoa province. The contest was a huge success with over 5,000 spectators attending the pageant held at a luxury resort and millions watching live on Vietnamese national television.
D.A.S. distributor in Vietnam "Viet Thuong Co.,ltd" provided installation support and technical assistance for the the D.A.S. line array system that provided sound reinforcement at the outdoor event. Mr. Sinh Kieu, the group manager group and sound engineer operated the system which was comprised of eight Aero 38 mid-high systems and four Aero 182 low frequency units which were flown per side. The PA system was powered by D.A.S. H-series H-4000 and H-2200 power amplifiers. On stage, four powered Compact 115 systems and two powered Sub Compact 18 providing bass reinforcement were used for side-fills. Stage monitoring was accomplished using twenty Pf-015 monitors.
The signal processing for the D.A.S. line array system was handled through D.A.S. DSP-3VS and DSP-1 Sub digital signal processors. Mr. Sinh Kieu relied on an Allen & Heath GL-4800-48 for the main house mix and a GL-2800-832 for the monitor mix. Digital effects were provided through TC Electronic M-2000 and M-One multi-effects processors along with compressor and equalizers from ART. Sennheiser SKM-3000 series and G2 Evolution wireless microphone system completed the stage equipment.
