La Rulot takes D.A.S.
The emblematic Plaça del Rei is home to several breathtaking medieval buildings
This year Barcelona celebrated its City Festival, "La Mercè," in style with D.A.S. Audio Aero systems. La Rulot, the Barcelona based sound reinforcement company took charge of the set-up and production installing D.A.S. Aero 28A systems at a square called the Plaça del Rei. An interesting mix of musical styles was featured on stage, ranging from choral music and jazz, to rock and pop and the Aero systems completely covered the needs of the groups and festival organizers, providing totally clear and dynamic sound.
. It includes the Royal Palace, which has been the residence of the Counts of Barcelona since the thirteenth century and houses the Tinell Hall where the Catholic Kings received Christopher Columbus on his return from the Americas. This peaceful and beautiful urban space has become one of the most symbolic venues for the festival and a series of performances are organized by Barcelona Acció Musical within this delightful medieval setting. A magnificent stage was set up in the square and its lighting and sound systems were installed by La Rulot's crew who boast an impressive track record in lighting and sound installations for the entertainment industry.
La Rulot employed eight powered Aero 28A line array modules for the front-of-house system together with four Aero CA-215A subwoofer units. Extreme low-frequency reinforcement was handled by four D.A.S Compact-218 Sub units. The extremely versatile, self-powered system made the set-up both simple and easy. Powered Compact and SM floor Monitors systems were chosen for the stage monitor system. A total of eight Compact 015 units were distributed on stage to suit the requirements of each performer. Along with the Compact monitors were two of the latest 12" models, the SML-12A low profile units from the Stage Monitors series. The bi-amplified SML-12A monitor features a 12LN speaker with a neodymium magnet structure, a M10N compression driver with a Class D amp for the low frequency section and a Class A/B amp for the highs. Two model Compact-2 units were added to this entirely self-powered stage system for side-fill.
