First European Seminar
Attended by thirty sound profesionals from every corner of Europe
D.A.S. Audio has always placed special importance on providing technology training to professionals in the sound industry. With this in mind, the company decided to host its first European Seminar at its Valencia headquarters this past February. Approximately thirty sound technicians, installation experts and engineers from every corner of Europe attended, from Sweden to Cyprus, Russia to Italy, and the U.K. to Poland, to name a few.
Over the course of the two-day seminar the attendees were given information on a wide range of topics including sound measurement and acoustic simulation systems based on the Ease Focus prediction software, line array systems theory and operations, digital signal processor handling, temporary system alignment with SmaartLive/SAT live software and subwoofer unit configuration.
Related presentations on the technical points of interest were given by Eva Argandoña, Inmaculada Herrera and Joan La Roda, all members of D.A.S. Audio's Engineering Department, headed by the company's Technical Director, Javier Navarro. The training course inevitably ended with practical application through additional practice in D.A.S.'s own auditorium.
Jack Palacio, Ignacio Chuliá and Gerard Loret from the Export Department's marketing team actively participated in organising and coordinating the event. A successful event, this first European Seminar achieved its goal of spreading the technical knowledge the professional sound system manufacturing make available to sound technicians, in this case technicians from the entire European continent.
